Seven German KAS (Konrad Adenauer Foundation) Scholarship holders of the journalism programme JONA (Journalistische Nachwuchsföderung) and six of their Indian counterparts of the Statesman Print Journalism School (SPJS) researched the consequences of climate change in the Kolkata area and wrote about it.

They had ten days, worked in bi-national teams to find topics and do their research, to go out on the field for interviews, take photos and work on a magazine together. [Stories about the Waste and the Wild, p.3]
The result is the bi-lingual publication “Stories about the Waste and the Wild” [PDF], which contains 13 articles highlighting pressing topics such as Kolkata’s waste management system, air pollution and the disappearance of the mangrove forests.
